8    1114(b)(1)(H) Requirement:  Teacher participation in assessment decisions

Evidence:  The role and activities of teachers, administrators, and parents in the decision regarding the use of academic assessments in order to provide information on, and to improve, the achievement of individual students and the overall instructional program is described.
    

8.1    Classroom teachers developed the STARS assessments of content standards.    Teachers and administrators participated in the development of classroom assessments for STARS.    A team of teachers, administrators, and parents participated in the development of classroom assessments for STARS. 
Included in this section is a narrative report on the Development of Classroom Assessments for STARS.
