Meet Our Teacher
Mrs. Contreras grew
up in Shenandoah, Iowa with her mother and younger brother
Bob. After high school, she attended Midland Lutheran
College in Fremont, Nebraska.
In
1992, she graduated with a BA in Elementary Education with an Early
Childhood Endorsement. After graduation, Mrs.
Conteras worked as a toddler teacher at the Creche Child Care
Center in Omaha and as a substitute teacher for the Omaha
Public Schools.
She has been teaching at Omaha Nation for 11 years. For ten of those years, she has been teaching 3rd grade.
Mrs.
Contreras is currently working on her Masters in Curriculum and
Instruction through Wayne State College. In her free time, she
enjoys reading, crocheting, walking her dogs, and spending time with her
husband Joe.
