Physical Science
In physical science at UNPS, we use the textbook Introduction to Physical Science by Ezralison, Hainen, Lillie, McCarthy, Zike, and Zorn. The copyright is 2002. It is published by Glencoe McGraw-Hill and cost $61.98.
Remember you are financially responsible for your book! If there is ANY damage to your book like bent corner on the cover, nicks or gashes in the cover, pencil or pen marks, mysteriuos spots, writing, bent pages, anthing other than a perfect book write it down, make a copy for your own records, and turn the original sheet into Ms. Klein so you don't have to pay for the damage at the end of the year.
We will cover four chapters per quarter. Generally taking two weeks per chapter. Week one will be book work. Week two will be activities and test. The kind and number of activities will be determined by the students' effort and attitude in the physical science classroom.
Direction: For each chapter, students need to put the vocabulary words and objective question on notecards. On the other side of the notecard they should either write the definition of the word or the answer to the objective question . All notecards are turned in before taking the chapter test and graded. If students choose to not use notecards, but a notebook instead they will be down graded 10% for not following directions. If students choose to complete their assignment with something other than a blue/balck pen or pencil, they will be down graded 15% for not following directions. An end of the quarter test will be given as well.
